
In order to select and manage the most promising investment vehicles, Bow River has developed a comprehensive strategy from initial sourcing to post-close and exit. Throughout the process, all communication and materials are kept in strictest confidence.
*Sourcing*
Bow River leverages our extensive network of contacts to source deals throughout a variety of industries. Due to our reputation and work ethic, leads come to us from our bankers, legal firms, accounting firms, and our own LP fund investors. We encourage inquiries directly from potential sellers and intermediaries. Organizational efficiency and transactional experience allow us to respond quickly to investment opportunities as they arise. We also are proactive; we like to identify a niche surrounded by appealing attributes, and seek investment opportunities in that area.
*Diligence*
We conduct an extensive due diligence process to evaluate all aspects of the company. We immediately look for a combination of “the right deal at the right time.” Bow River is not a “gut-feel” investor — we apply a rigorous, systematic process to every potential investment. But over the years we haven’t forgotten the importance of “gut feel” when it comes to the final decision. We know that the whole story is not always in the documents. Sometimes, our professional opinions, based on years of similar types of examination, help to seal the deal.
