We’ve entered into several partnerships with local and national organizations to assist our efforts in recruiting more diverse candidates for both our summer internship program and full-time roles.
Activate Workforce Solutions operates in Bow River Capital’s hometown of Denver; its mission is to activate low-income individuals into their inherent potential through the dignity of work. Its sister company, ActivateIT is a recruiting, IT training, and coaching organization that focuses on professional and interpersonal development to enable our students to succeed in IT careers and achieve economic freedom.
Bow River Capital is a founding member of Colorado Inclusive Economy, a campaign launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to address the disproportionate economic impact that the pandemic and recession has had on people of color and frontline American workers. Inclusive Economy is a collection of CEOs and business leaders who are dedicated to rebuilding Colorado’s economy in a way that works for all.
For 30 years, Toigo Foundation has helped open doors for some of the most talented and underrepresented minorities working in the investment and finance industry. The Foundation views its work as an essential move toward financial equity and inclusion, as well as a step to dispel the myth that minority talent does not exist. Bow River Capital will expand its internship and full-time position recruiting to include Toigo’s MBA program participants and alumni.
Bow River is a signatory of ILPA’s Diversity in Action initiative. The initiative brings together limited partners and general partners who share a commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the private equity industry. The goal of the initiative is to motivate market participants to engage in the journey towards becoming more diverse and inclusive and to build momentum around the adoption of specific actions that advance DEI over time.
